Griffey Turns Eight

A few weeks ago, Griffey was able to have the chance to be baptized. It was a special day for Griffey, and his parents and family couldn't be more proud of him for his decision to be baptized.

It was an extra special day for Griffey because he was able to share this day with his cousin Brylee. It was great to see all the family that came, especially those family members that came fromlong distance to be there. Thank you.

Father and Son

Over Memorial Weekend, I got the oppotunity to take my oldest son Griffey away for the weekend for some one-on-one time. And where else do you think we would go, but to go watch some ballgames. Griff and I took a quick trip to San Diego to watch the Padres play Ken Griffey Jr. and the Reds. In hopes that we might see a bit of history in watching Griffey Jr. hit his 600th homerun.

Now we did just miss him hit #598 the night before we got there. And although we did not bring him any luck during the three games we attended, he did provide us with some excitement, hitting a couple of balls to the wall.

We had a great time together, sharing our love of baseball and our favorite player. I remember sharing times like these with my dad, and it is some of my most cherished memories. I hope that some day Griffey will think back on our trip (and hopefully future trips) and have the same memories I did as a kid. Plus, "Little" Griffey thinks he is pretty special to be named after a future Hall of Famer.

Here are a few more pics from our trip.

The Real "Guitar Hero"

So a couple of weeks ago, we are getting the kids ready for bed one night and Brady was getting his groove on with his guitar. I immediately thought of the gang at Lindon Elementary and the fact that they sometimes need a "Brady Story" to get them through long days at school. Thankfully, I had quick thinking and was able to capture some of his performance on my camera on my phone. If you listen closely, this would be the song "Never" by Moving Pictures, from the Footloose soundtrack. Again, sorry for the video being so small, hopefully you can see and hear some of it. Enjoy!

"The Happiest Place on Earth"

The beginning of March we took a quick trip to Disneyland and was able to have Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Kent join us. As you can see we had so much fun, even after we all walked off Splash Mountain a bit wet.
